I'm a blogger - nowadays that seems to be my main occupation and Rambles from My Chair is my main blog. Retired local government executive - now studying how to survive a neurological disorder that gives me various problems but, hopefully, a whole new outlook on life and an increased sense of humour and perspective. I enjoy all manner of communication apart from the telephone and am constantly e-mailing, texting, writing postcards and commenting on other people's blogs.
Scriptor Senex is Latin for Old Writer and my real name is John but I've almost forgotten that nowadays...

This letter opener was made by Dad. He also made pokers suing the same technique of putting washers on a metal bar and then fashioning them into squares.
I have a liking for letter openers and had quite forgotten about that one. Do you have any of the pokers? I was reminded of them when I wrote the post about Dooley and sculptures a short while ago.
Hey your dad looks very creative! I'd never seen a handmade letter opener so far! Good one! Check this out if you wish - Am I Creative? Do you have the ability to generate new ideas, use imagination and make new decision? http://www.3smartcubes.com/pages/tests/creative/creative_instructions.asp
I like letter openers! Unfortunately though, most envelopes that arrive today only contain bills...

ReplyDeleteNo, I don't know what happened to the pokers. They probably went after gas fires came in.
